Fremtiden for Eee PC: Ultimate og PRO Fashion modeller på vej eee-pc-roadmap-350x269

Asus has revealed little about the future of their Eee PC model series. As you know, the series just over run already with her around. 11 different models, but before the end of the year expects to Asus Eee PC series offers no fewer than 23 different models! The models are designed to frame different segments of the market, and will MEDOS a 3-sharing model in the series Smart Casual, PRO Fashion and Ultimate. See the picture that shows the entire strategy of trustedreviews.com

Smart Casual is not so much new in – it will be the name of the current series, but there will probably still be injecting new models look like dirt from a fledgling calf.

Ultimate Pro and Fashion, however, will be more highend machines with dual Atom CPU (the current Atom CPUs running only single core, so we should just wait for Intel produces dual core Atom before we see them for sale). Moreover, they will be 10.1-inch displays and larger disks – whether they choose to buy with a 32GB SSD drive, or 120GB hard drive.

We can rejoice that keep track of YET several model numbers a la: Asus Eee PC Ultimate: S101 and S91, Asus Eee PC Pro Fashion: 1000HV, 1002SA, 1002HA and T101. Beautiful – naming basis, we are back in the happy 90′ere! :-)

The major disadvantage is of course the price – the Asus Eee PC started out as small, cheap travel subnotebooks, we are approaching the major steps the prices of the “ordinary” subnotebooks. The series is small from small to be “Netbook” to be “ultra-portable labtops”. But we will certainly what you pay for – the question is just whether you pay for what you need. ;-) My immediate assessment is that if working on tasks that require “massive” processor, so it is rarely a subnotebook, you should sit and work with .. :-)
