There are 100’s – or 1000’s of guides for the Asus Eee PC on the net.
Here is an overview of the EeePC guides, which I think works best – and perhaps will try over time. 
Most guides are in English, and I have unfortunately not even been thoroughly through them all.
Operating systems / OS:

The speed of Eee PC / clocking:
