Computing on the Cheap

As much as Apple and Windows computers have come down in price in recent years there is still a very large part of the population that has a very difficult time being able to afford such machines. This is a vicious cycle though as not owning a computer is a competitive disadvantage in a world that is increasingly and unstoppably moving to a point where computer skills will be considered a basic human need for joining the workforce and participating in a community. asus eee pc 1000he 270x300 Computing on the Cheap

As such it is very important to ensure that a very affordable version of computing exists. Individuals do not require the most advanced computing platform that allows them to play the latest games. All they require is a computing device that allows them to gather knowledge from the vast resources found on the Internet and that allows them to use productivity applications like word processors and spreadsheets. Such a computer can be much cheaper than the typical computer, which is overdesigned for such simple purposes. This is the clear role that the EEE PC fills. It is a simple yet fairly full-featured computer that is available for a great price and suits the needs of those who need the computer as a productivity device. There is the EEE PC vs. Acer One and both provide tremendous options for affordable computing.
