Asus Eee PC news… will be about.. news! On the Asus Eee PC! How could you not know?

No seriuosly: Asus has built a new type of notebook computer called a netbook or mininote which is a fresh approach to the mobile computing industry – the Eee Pc. The Asus eee pc fills a niche for mobile computer users who need more functionality, and better ergonomics, than cell phones offer, but do not need all of the power and ability of a full notebook computer.

The asus pc is much smaller than even a compact notebook. Even so, eee pc has a full qwerty keyboard, including function keys. The eee pc features an Ethernet port, USB ports, audio jacks, and a port for an external monitor. Eee pc’s built-in monitor is small, but adequate for the duties this niche product is designed to fill. The eee PC has Wi-Fi built-in and the installed software takes full advantage of online apps and storage. This design direction compensates for the limitation of the 4gigabytes of built-in storage i the eee pc 701. Newer models like the eee pc 904 and eee pc 100H has much more harddisk space. The eee pc features a SD slot for additional storage, though, and USB ports for using USB storage devices and external hard drives.

Asus Eee box is a desktop pc version of asus eee pc. It is also very small and cheap. The Asus Eee Top is the Eee Box built into a TFT monitor as with touch screen interface. Perfect for the kitchen.  

The price of the eee pc is kept low by using a version of Linux called Xandros. Includes with Xandros are preinstalled web apps and links to online services, such as internet radio. The eee pc is not limited to using only Xandros, though. It is capable of running other Linux variations, such as the very popular Ubuntu operating system or Windows XP. Many users prefer the eee pc to run XP since they are already familliar with this OS. The eee PC is not restricted by proprietary software. Thus, users have the ability to expand the eee pc hardware by means of the SD, USB and external monitor ports, and personalize the eee pc software by running their preferred version of Linux (or XP), making the eee pc a very adaptable and capable mobile computer.

Simply put: Asus Eee Pc  is the best gadget ever – as well as a very useful tool.
